Both Musical Directors have chosen a wide selection of pieces here, including popular marches, film favourites, popular melodies and hymn tunes, which we hope include a few of your Favourite Things .
Most of the musicians on this recording are amateurs who play and rehearse for the musical enjoyment and camaraderie of banding. We hope you enjoy these bandstand favourites, chosen in part for John O’Hara, a friend of the band for over twenty years. As well as being involved in the band as acting chairman and president, John has continued to support us since retiring from official duties with Spelthorne Council. We will be forever grateful for his commitment and enthusiasm in getting this project to fruition.
